Top 5 Royal Foods

There are so many food items with royal names, it's about time someone organize them into a list--which is what we do best.  Your top 5 royal foods await, your majesty...

5: King Crab Legs - Served with lemon and butter, it's to die for.  Don't let the royal food taster test it--there may not be any left for you!

4: Kaiser Roll - Kaiser is the German bastardization of Caesar (just Czar in Russia).  I'll bet you know that though.  Smarty.

3: Chicken a la King - Chicken in a creamy sauce with puff pastry or crouton on top--the origins of the dish go back at least 130 years, and with one bite, it's easy to tell why it's stood the test of time.

2: Caesar Salad - Et tu, crouton? The Caesar salad is emperor of the salad world. And you can't even taste the anchovies!

1: King Dons - The bastard brother of Ring Dings and alternate name for Ding Dongs (to avoid confusion, if you can believe that), King Dons are chocolate cakes surrounding white whipped cream and covered with chocolate. Though the King is not as good as the Ring and not as funny sounding as the Ding, it's still a fantastic royal treat!

Enjoy the feast!  And add anything we forgot in the comments below (or on Facebook, when you're liking our page)!

  1. What, no "Royale with Cheese?"

  2. Oooh! Good one...
I guess King Dons are now gone...
